Do you know why the company did this? Is there any plausible reason behind this? Well, we know why the Pixel 2 phones don’t have 3.5mm ports, as Google just explained it. Google Mario Queiroz while talking to TechCrunch said that Google wants to make all screen phones and including a 3.5mm headphone jack doesn’t fit with the design. Queiroz said “The primary reason [for dropping the jack] is establishing a mechanical design path for the future. We want the display to go closer and closer to the edge. Our team said, ‘if we’re going to make the shift, let’s make it sooner, rather than later’ Last year may have been too early. Now there are more phones on the market.” For your information, Google had also launched the Pixel Buds that are intended for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Pixel buds are just an alternative to Apple’s AirPods. So, it looks like Google is following the trend set by Apple. Google seems to repeat the same story that Apple wrote during the launch of the iPhone 7. So, what do you think about this? Share your views in the comment box below.
